Redhat Session with Experts.

Hello Readers.

Recently I have attendend Redhat Session with two best industry expert Mr. Sreejith Anujan ( Principal Instructor, RedHat )& Mr. Arun Eapen ( Director, APAC Service Delivery, GLS RedHat Asia Pacific ).

Here they have disscused many use cases related to Automation Using Ansible. This whole session was practical implementation based session.

In this session I learned about

Now, let’s disscuss each topic in detail.

🔺 What is Ansible?

Ansible is an open-source automation tool, or platform, used for IT tasks such as configuration management, application deployment, intraservice orchestration, and provisioning.

🔺 What is Automation and how we can use Automation?

Automation is a process where all the work is done without any human interactions. Automation is used to Automate Infreastrucres, Configuring the same, Configure servers, deployments, etc.

Ansible is a radically simple IT automation engine that automates cloud provisioning, configuration management, application deployment, intra-service orchestration, and many other IT needs.

🔺 What is the Need of scaling?

Scaling is the most important concept in today’s era as no one knows when traffic will increase or decrease no one can predict the same. Therefore, Playbooks should be created in a manner that they can be scaled at any point in time.

🔺 What is Ansible Tower?

Ansible Tower is a web-based program that makes Ansible easier to use. It provides a User interface inside this there is a personal dashboard with multiple attributes which is used to deploy, manage, monitor, etc.

We can solve different challenges with ansible tower-like workflow management, scaling, SCM, etc.

🔺 How to use credentials in Ansible Tower.

In Ansible Tower, to protect the login credentials and enhance the security the Ansible tower creates a database of credentials and lets them attach to the job template, which allows the user to not include ID Password in the playbook and it can be used universally. This adds a layer of security.
